Domestic violence and mass shootings are closely linked. In fact, one analysis found that over 57% of mass shootings in the United States are directly tied to domestic violence.
We all have a stake in keeping weapons out of the hands of abusers.
A new law circulating in Congress would help stop the out of control violence.
The Protecting Domestic Violence and and Stalking Victims Act would prohibit stalkers and all domestic abusers — spouses and dating partners — from buying guns. This legislation, currently in the Senate, needs our full support.
For far too long, we've been told that nothing can be done about out of control gun violence. It's time our lawmakers know we won't stand for inaction any longer!
