Support a cause to help Florida Manatees!

Care2 Petitionsite Action Alert
action alert!
Manatees may look thick-skinned, but they actually can't handle cold water for long. That's why they depend so greatly on Florida's warm water for sanctuary. Unfortunately, the state's shores have become crowded with tourists, creating danger for the manatees.
Please sign the petition today! Give Florida Manatees a Real Sanctuary!

Manatees are cute and peaceful. Like teddy bears in the water. But the tourists who try to touch and grab them off Florida's coast are threatening their lives. They need to be left alone and have enough room in the increasingly crowded sea to behave naturally. Sign the petition supporting a designated area for manatees' sanctuary off the Florida coast.

Hundreds of manatees die from prolonged exposure to too-cold water. That's why a sanctuary in their natural escape, Three Sisters Springs in Kings Bay, Florida, is so important. Their getaway from the cold water is a matter of survival.

Support the creation of no-touch sanctuary for manatees in Three Sisters Springs.
